Greed of Man

Greed of Man entered Early Access on July 10, 2023 and has been under active development since. The developer has shipped three named major content updates — the Shipping Update (January 26, 2024), the Bank Vault Raid Update (May 24, 2024), and the Gangs Update (August 3, 2024) — as well as numerous feature patches adding new systems throughout 2024 and into 2025. The most recent patch, v0.8.8 "Survival Systems & Street Life," shipped on May 3, 2025, adding hunger/thirst mechanics, street food locations, a banking overhaul, ATMs, faction gear, and a new mission tracker UI. The preceding patch on April 6, 2025 included explicit developer commentary: "This is just the tip of the iceberg for updates to come," and noted ongoing parallel work on this game alongside another project. As of today, October 1, 2026, the last confirmed developer communication was May 3, 2025 — approximately 17 months ago. The historical cadence between major content drops has ranged from roughly 3–6 months. Silence of 17 months would normally push toward development uncertainty; however, the established pattern across this game's history has been irregular, with solo-developer gaps that have resolved into resumed updates. More notably, the developer's April 2025 note references concurrent work on a separate game ("World of Fate") reaching a 1.0 release, which may account for reduced communication cadence on this title. The game is still versioned at v0.8.x, well below a 1.0 release. No announcement of a content conclusion or final update has been made. The developer has not signaled that Early Access development is winding down. While the silence since May 2025 is notable, there is no distress signal or explicit statement that development has ended — and the developer's own April 2025 statement pointed clearly toward continued work. This is a borderline case, but given the explicit forward-looking statement made as recently as April 2025 and the absence of any closure announcement, the game is assessed as still in active Early Access development, with moderate uncertainty due to the extended silence.
