Grow Defense

Grow Defense launched on January 10, 2021 as a free-to-play castle defense game. After a long quiet period, the developer shipped a substantial Mining Update on August 20, 2025, introducing an entirely new layer of gameplay: a mine-descent mode, an item crafting and recipe system, gem socketing, mining quests, leaderboard competition, and a UI overhaul. Four days later, on August 24, 2025, the developer followed up with a patch that fixed bugs, added more quest tiers, and explicitly stated "More to come!" — a direct signal of continued development intent. As of today, October 8, 2026, approximately 13.5 months have passed since the last developer post. Given that the game went roughly two years between meaningful updates before the 2025 burst of activity, this gap alone does not clearly indicate the development has concluded — but it is approaching the outer edge of what can reasonably be called an active cadence. The developer has not announced that development is finished, and the August 2025 statement of "More to come!" remains the most recent communication. The game continues to receive updates, and no conclusion of content development has been stated.
