Guns'n'Stories: Preface VR is a free-to-play VR demo/preface game that serves as an introduction to the Guns'n'Stories: Bulletproof VR universe. It launched on October 26, 2017 and received meaningful content updates through 2018. A July 2018 update added 6 new levels, new weapons, and new enemies. A September 20, 2018 v2.0 update brought 6 different levels with varied weapons and enemy types, multiple difficulty settings, and expanded localization. After that September 2018 update, the developer shifted their focus to other projects — most notably launching "Boiling Steel" into Early Access in December 2019 and releasing it as a full game in March 2020. There have been no updates or developer communications specific to Preface VR since September 2018, and there are no announced future content plans, unreleased DLC, or any other signals indicating additional content is coming. The game has functioned as a stable, complete free demo product since its v2.0 release.
