The most recent developer communication of any kind was on July 27, 2022, when MoeGame announced a Steam store page for a sequel, "GunSoul Girl 2." This announcement focused entirely on the new game rather than any ongoing support for the original. There have been no developer posts since July 27, 2022 — nearly four years ago as of today. The game launched as a compact, finished product with no roadmap, no season pass, no announced future content, and no sustained post-launch update pattern. The brief flurry of bug fixes in early 2021 addressed launch issues rather than adding new content. The sequel announcement confirms the developer has moved on. GunSoul Girl is a complete, standalone release.
