Halftime Heroes

Halftime Heroes launched out of Early Access on May 11, 2023. The developer's own post on that date explicitly described it as the "last update before we get out of Early Access," framing the 1.0 launch as the conclusion of the game's development cycle. The same post also teased the studio's next project, Halftime Builders — a signal that Bigboot Studios has moved on to a new title rather than continuing to expand this one. Looking at the game's history, all meaningful content development occurred during Early Access: three major content drops between April 2022 and October 2022 (the Ultimate Update, the Custom Update, and the Halloween Spooky Forest update), followed by optimization and platform work leading up to the 1.0 launch. The 1.0 release itself was an optimization patch, not a new content drop. There have been no news posts, patches, DLC announcements, or developer communications of any kind since May 11, 2023 — over three years of silence. No DLC is listed on the store. The store description does not reference any upcoming content. With the developer explicitly signaling completion at launch and subsequently promoting a new game, the evidence consistently points to Halftime Heroes having shipped as a finished product with no further content planned.
