Evaluation

Hammerwatch II launched on August 15, 2023 as a complete game. Following launch, Crackshell released a series of patches adding quality-of-life features (instanced loot, persistent character save slots, replayable bosses) and fixing bugs across Patch Updates #1 through #5, with the final patch landing on April 24, 2024. The game also expanded to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 on December 12, 2023, though that release contained no new content. The only DLC ever listed — the Anniversary Pack — shipped on the same day as the base game (August 15, 2023) and is fully released. There are no unreleased DLC entries on the store. The developer has made no announcements of future content, expansions, or additional patches since April 24, 2024, and the store description describes a bundled Chronicles Edition package rather than a live content roadmap. The post-launch update activity appears to have concluded with that final maintenance patch, and no further development plans have been communicated.
