Happy Guy

Happy Guy launched on September 26, 2021 with a single DLC — "Happy Guy: Memories" — released on the same day as the base game. The developer pushed two patches in the days immediately following launch (versions 1.1 and 1.2), addressing Live2D bugs, UI text, and a minor gallery update. Version 1.1 on launch day did mention plans for trading cards, more levels, and an infinite mode, but none of those items were ever formalized into a DLC listing or roadmap post, and no follow-up communication on Happy Guy specifically was made after September 27, 2021. The two "major_content" news posts from September 2022 and April 2023 are announcements for entirely separate games published by HappyGames (Yokai Art and its DLC), not content for Happy Guy. There has been no developer communication about Happy Guy itself since September 27, 2021. The game launched as a self-contained casual story experience with its sole DLC released on day one. The developer's posting history shows no post-launch update cadence for Happy Guy, and the brief mentions of future features in the day-one patch notes were never followed up on. The game is best understood as a complete, finished product.
