Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star launched on December 5, 2015 as a complete, self-contained visual novel sequel. Following launch, Mediatonic released a content patch on December 21, 2015 and a bug fix update on January 12, 2016. The only DLC — a Collector's Edition pack — shipped on April 15, 2016 and is fully released. No further DLC has been listed, no future content has been announced, and the developer has not posted any updates since January 12, 2016. The store description makes no mention of planned expansions or ongoing content. The game launched as a finished product and all associated content has been delivered.
