Heaven Dust 2 launched on January 5, 2022 as a complete, self-contained survival horror game. In the weeks after launch, the developer shipped two small balance and feature patches (January 19 and January 29, 2022) addressing player feedback. On April 24, 2022, One Gruel Studio released the game's only post-launch content: two paid costume packs and one free costume. All three DLC items are now released. There are no unreleased DLC items listed on the store, no roadmap or announcement of future content, and no developer communications since April 24, 2022. The game launched as a finished product with a defined story, fixed content, and no live-service or seasonal structure. The costume DLC released in April 2022 represents the final content addition to the game.

This is the stand-alone sequel to the survival horror thriller Heaven Dust (it is not mandatory to play the previous game to enjoy this one).
After a press conference, a virus outbreak happens in the mysterious First Research Center.
In the meantime, deep inside the institute, Steve wakes up from his cryogenic pod.
He finds himself trapped in a living hell, surrounded by zombies, again.
He must fight his way out even when the dreadful truth is also approaching...

- Except for ordinary zombies, all kinds of mutated monsters had joined the battle too: Heavily armored Bone Fiend, regenerating Blood Fiend, approaching boomlad. And, of course, epic boss fights.
