Hell Clock

Hell Clock launched on July 22, 2025, and developer Rogue Snail has maintained a consistent and substantial update cadence ever since. The post-launch period saw rapid releases: a major campaign rework and new endgame system on August 5, 2025 (Update 1.0.2); a full crafting system overhaul on September 29, 2025 (Update 1.1); and a complete movement system rebuild on November 22, 2025 (Update 1.2), which also announced a console port for 2026. On April 2, 2026, the developer confirmed all originally promised post-launch roadmap features had shipped and that the team had shifted full focus to the "Cursed War" expansion. After some scheduling adjustments, the expansion launched on July 9, 2026 — the game's biggest update to date. Cursed War added a new prequel story campaign set during the Paraguayan War of 1864–1870, six new active skills, 80+ new unique relics, 10+ new biomes, and a new Endless Nightmares endgame mode. The 2.0 patch delivered the bulk of these endgame improvements as a free update to all existing owners. Following the Cursed War launch, the developer continued rapid post-launch support: a bug-fix patch dropped on July 16, 2026 (2.0.1), and another on July 28, 2026 (2.0.2). The July 28 post confirmed the team is still actively focused on stability, optimization, and further fixes, with the note "we hope to have more to show on that in the future." All three DLC entries are now released: the Soundtrack (July 22, 2025), the Supporter Pack Upgrade (July 22, 2025), and Cursed War (July 9, 2026). No new DLC has been announced. However, given the developer's strong and consistent cadence of major content since launch — with updates arriving roughly every 2–8 months — and their continued active communication as recently as July 28, 2026, the game remains in active post-launch development. No statement suggesting development has concluded has been made.
