Hidden Folks

Hidden Folks launched on February 15, 2017 and received three major content updates over the following years: the Snow areas (December 14, 2017), the Beach areas (October 24, 2018), and the On Tour areas (June 4, 2020). All of these were delivered as free updates to existing owners. After releasing On Tour, the developer explicitly noted in the June 4, 2020 post that "it's possible that On Tour is the game's final content update," citing five years of work and a desire to explore new projects. This was consistent with an earlier November 2018 statement where the developer announced a break from creating new Hidden Folks content. No further content updates were made to the original game after June 4, 2020. The developer's attention has since shifted to Hidden Folks 2, which was officially announced on June 6, 2026 at Wholesome Direct. The sequel is a separate product targeting a release in early 2027 — it is not a content update to the original game. The original Hidden Folks is a complete, self-contained game. All DLC (the Mouth Sounds Pack, a cosmetic audio pack) was released in May 2018. The store description reflects the full, final feature set of the game with 32 hand-drawn areas. No unreleased content has been announced for the original title.
