HITMAN World of Assassination

HITMAN World of Assassination is a live game that IO Interactive continues to actively update and expand. The game has maintained a consistent rhythm of new content throughout 2024, 2025, and into 2026: celebrity Elusive Target missions featuring Bruce Lee (October 2025), Milla Jovovich (February 2026), Mads Mikkelsen as Le Chiffre (April–May 2026), and Eminem (active through August 23, 2026). Themed cosmetic DLC packs have shipped alongside each major event, with the most recent — The Wizard Pack and World Champions Pack — released on June 5, 2026. The developer also launched Cross-Progression support on February 3, 2026, a significant platform feature. Most notably, at the June 2025 IOI Showcase, IO Interactive announced Stone & Knight — a full co-op experience for HITMAN World of Assassination — and stated the team is "hard at work" on it. This announced but unshipped feature confirms that substantial new content is still in development. Additionally, the April 2026 Le Chiffre season cross-promoted IO Interactive's upcoming game 007 First Light, including unlock rewards tied between the two titles, showing the studio is actively weaving HITMAN into its broader ongoing plans. With new Elusive Target seasons launching every one to three months and a co-op mode still in development, this game is firmly in ongoing active development with no indication of the developer winding down support.
