Hiveswap Friendsim

Hiveswap Friendsim launched episodically starting April 13, 2018, releasing 18 volumes over the course of 2018. The store description explicitly states: "Purchasing Hiveswap Friendsim unlocks all 18 volumes of the visual novel adventure." This language confirms the game is a complete, self-contained package. All 18 episodes have shipped and are included in a single purchase with no additional content pending. Developer news since the game's release has focused on related but separate products: Pesterquest (a companion game that began releasing in September 2019) and the Pestersim bundle (announced December 7, 2023), which packages Hiveswap Friendsim and Pesterquest together at a discount. Neither of these represents new content for Hiveswap Friendsim itself. The October 2019 announcement about Hiveswap: Act 2 referred to a separate game entirely. In July 2019, What Pumpkin announced a publishing partnership with Fellow Traveller to help bring Hiveswap Act 2 to market — this was a structural update about the studio's broader work, not about new Friendsim content. There is no announced future content for Hiveswap Friendsim, no unreleased DLC, and no developer statements indicating further updates are planned. The game launched and concluded as a complete episodic visual novel.
