Hob launched on September 26, 2017 as a self-contained action-adventure game. Following launch, Runic Games issued a series of bug-fix and polish patches through late October 2017 — the last developer communication on record was a patch on October 26, 2017. No further updates, announcements, or developer posts have appeared since then. The only DLC ever listed is the official soundtrack, which released alongside the base game on launch day. No expansions, story DLC, or post-launch content of any kind was announced or released. The game shipped as a complete, finished product with no post-launch content cycle, and the developer's activity wound down entirely within a month of release. Runic Games subsequently closed in November 2017, ending any possibility of future development. The game remains purchasable on Steam in its original released state.
