Hocus launched on November 18, 2015 as a minimal perspective puzzle game inspired by M.C. Escher. Over the years, the developer shipped several meaningful updates: a level editor was added on August 14, 2016, and on July 24, 2021, a "Big Update" arrived with 20 new levels and a new AI-powered highscore mode, bringing the total to 120 levels. That July 2021 update appears to be the last substantive content shipped for this game, and there have been no further posts or communications since then. The developer's attention had already shifted toward a sequel — hocus 2 was announced as coming soon in November 2020 and reaffirmed in February 2021. Given the five-year gap since the last update (July 24, 2021), the natural conclusion of the level count at a round 120, and the developer's focus on a separate sequel title, hocus appears to have reached the end of its content lifecycle. No future updates, DLC, or additional content have been announced for this game.
