HoloCure - Save the Fans! is a free unofficial Hololive fangame that launched on August 16, 2023 and has continued to receive substantial updates since then. The most recent major content release was Update 0.7 on November 15, 2024, which added 9 new characters, new weapons, items, stages, and several new gameplay systems. The team followed that with several balance patches and bug fixes through late November 2024. On February 27, 2025, the developer announced they would halt smaller patches to focus entirely on the next major update, 0.8. No specific release date for Update 0.8 has been announced, but the developer has been clear and consistent that development is ongoing and that the update is progressing. The game has shipped one major update roughly once per year since launch (Update 0.7 arrived November 15, 2024, roughly 15 months after the August 2023 release), establishing a cadence that puts the current date of September 17, 2026 — approximately 10 months after 0.7 and roughly 9 months after the last developer communication — still plausibly within the established update window, especially given the developer's transparency about slower-than-usual progress.
