Hoop Land entered Steam Early Access on October 21, 2025 and remains under active development by solo developer Koality Game. The developer has maintained a consistent update cadence throughout Early Access, shipping multiple major content drops and feature patches. Since launch, major updates include Version 1.09.6 (December 31, 2025, adding Steam Workshop), Version 1.09.7 (April 7, 2026, adding college rankings, tournament courts, and CPU trade requests), and a feature patch on June 3, 2026 (Version 1.09.74) adding new hairstyles, accessories, and gameplay improvements. The developer has given a clear, specific path to full release: Update Version 1.10, which introduces a new Campus Mode (College Franchise Mode), is scheduled to launch on October 20, 2026. In a September 6, 2026 preview post — the most recent developer communication — the developer confirmed the release date and described Campus Mode in detail: players will be able to recruit high school prospects, manage scholarship budgets, and build a college program over multiple seasons. The developer also explicitly stated that this update marks the point at which "Hoop Land [will exit] Early Access and enter Full Release." The game is in healthy, on-schedule development with a specific and imminent release date confirmed for its 1.0 launch milestone.
