HOPE 01

HOPE 01 launched into Early Access on September 15, 2026. The solo developer (Bending Boy Games) has been highly active since launch, posting a steady stream of patches and quality-of-life updates throughout September and into October 2026. On October 5, 2026, the developer published a detailed roadmap explaining plans for the 1.0 release. The roadmap commits to a single large update that will add more NPCs, quests, endings and epilogues, weapons, gadgets, enemies, bosses, upgrades, and localization support, along with a New Game Plus mode. If the game's commercial performance allows for more development time, additional features — "science weapons" (flamethrowers, railguns, nailguns), hideout upgrades, and in-raid random events — may also be included. The developer is transparent that the scope of 1.0 depends in part on revenue, but is clear that a meaningful 1.0 update is happening regardless. On October 6, 2026, the developer followed up with a news post officially announcing the start of 1.0 development, while noting they will still address any significant bugs that emerge. The roadmap also states that 1.0 will likely mark the end of development for HOPE 01 specifically, with the developer intending to move on to narrative sequel games tied to the multiple endings of HOPE 01. The 1.0 update itself has not yet shipped, and the game remains in Early Access.
