Horizon Walker

Horizon Walker is a free-to-play live service RPG that launched on August 24, 2025 and has been receiving continuous content updates ever since. The developer maintains a very active update schedule, with new Vanguards (playable characters), rotating limited-time events, feature patches, and major new systems being introduced on a regular basis. The most recent update, posted on August 12, 2026 (with maintenance on August 13, 2026), introduced a new Vanguard named Kotoha, a new weapon, new costumes, a time-limited event ("Larina's Dopamine Channel!" running through August 27, 2026), and several new quality-of-life features including Multi-Aide Sanctuary, Priority Target, and various Affection system improvements. A preview notice on August 7, 2026 also teased the Priority Target feature ahead of release, demonstrating consistent pre-update communication. Earlier in 2026, the developer announced and began rolling out large-scale new systems. The Demi-God Ascension System was detailed in a March 26, 2026 developer note and further expanded with character-specific Ascension content (such as Maximilia's Ascension previewed July 10, 2026). A major new strategic mode called War content was previewed in a March 4, 2026 developer note, with a detailed breakdown of its battlefield structure, resource systems, and future expandability — and the developer explicitly noted it is "built upon a flexible battlefield framework designed for future expansion." A new battle mode, Larina's Special Training Grounds, was announced on May 21, 2026. The developer's communications across 2026 consistently describe ongoing development and signal many more updates to come. With 49 news posts since launch, four classified as major content drops, active bi-weekly to monthly update cycles, and new systems still being introduced and expanded as of August 2026, this game shows every hallmark of an ongoing live service title that is not approaching any kind of content conclusion.
