Hotline Miami launched on October 23, 2012 as a complete, self-contained action game. Its only DLC is the official soundtrack, which has been released. Post-launch developer communications focused on technical improvements: a major engine update on September 9, 2013 added leaderboards, Linux support, and localization, and a small maintenance patch on October 5, 2015 fixed minor visual and localization issues. That October 2015 patch is the last recorded communication specifically about this game. News posts after that date — from 2017 and 2019 — are announcements of other Devolver Digital titles (High Hell, Ape Out, Katana ZERO) cross-posted to the same Steam hub, not updates to Hotline Miami itself.
