Hubris

Hubris launched on December 7, 2022 as a complete VR action-adventure game. Since launch, Cyborn has delivered a steady stream of improvements and two major free updates: Patch 2.0 on July 24, 2023 (a sweeping overhaul covering combat, audio, visuals, and new mechanics), and Patch 3.0 on February 16, 2024 (adding a brand-new free arena mode with multiple difficulty tiers, weapon upgrades, and a new map set outside the main campaign). The February 2024 update noted the studio was "looking into ways to further expand" the arena mode, but this read as aspirational rather than a firm commitment, and no specific follow-up content was ever announced or shipped. The most recent developer communication was a feature patch on September 12, 2024, which rolled out improved controls and backpack fixes to all headsets — a quality-of-life update rather than a content announcement. There are no unreleased DLC entries on the store, no announced future content, and no developer posts since September 12, 2024. The gap between major content releases (roughly 7 months between Patch 2.0 and Patch 3.0) suggests that if more major content were planned, we would likely have heard something by now — it has been over 21 months since the last major content drop and over 9 months since any developer communication as of June 25, 2026. The game appears to have reached the end of its active content development cycle.
