I Live Under Your House launched on October 31, 2022 as a short point-and-click horror visual novel. Shortly after launch, the developer shipped a story DLC called "It Lives Under the House" on December 1, 2022, and a soundtrack DLC on January 2, 2023. Both represent the full extent of announced and released content for this game. On July 7, 2026, the developer posted a notable update explaining that all AI-generated art in the game has been replaced with hand-drawn art, and a new non-AI version is now available alongside the original. In that same post, the developer addressed the game's future directly: "Do I plan to update the game any further? I don't know yet... Maybe in the future there will be updates for the non-AI version, and it will become more polished compared to the original game but no promises." This is a genuinely ambiguous statement — not a commitment to further content, but not a definitive conclusion either. The developer followed this with a quality-of-life patch on July 8, 2026 applying fixes exclusively to the non-AI version. A separate Steam listing for a remake titled "I Live Under Your House Renovation" was announced in August 2025, promising reworked graphics, new dialogues, an additional act, and language support — but that is a standalone product, not additional content for this original release. The July 2026 developer statement stops short of promising future content and explicitly says "no promises." The accompanying patch was maintenance and polish work, not new content. All listed DLC for this original game has shipped. The game is best understood as a complete release, with the developer having wrapped up the original's content cycle in early 2023 and returning only to make quality improvements to the existing experience.
