Evaluation

Idiom Royale launched on February 18, 2026 and received two notable content updates in its first two months. On March 13, 2026, the developer shipped an achievement system (30+ achievements), expanded the idiom word library by hundreds of entries based on player feedback, and improved the input UI. On April 10, 2026, a substantial new game mode — "Homophone Pun Deathmatch" — launched with over 1,000 original questions and a promise of weekly question bank updates. The last developer communication was on April 10, 2026. As of today (October 8, 2026), that is approximately six months of silence following two updates that arrived roughly four weeks apart. The two major updates came very close together after launch (February 18 → March 13 → April 10), so the gap between them is about four weeks. Six months without a post is well beyond that short interval. However, the April 10 update explicitly committed to weekly question bank refreshes ("题库每周更新"), which is an ongoing operational cadence built into the game's design rather than a one-off content drop. This means content additions are structurally part of how the game operates. The developer also actively solicited player-submitted content for the question bank, signaling intent to keep expanding it. No statement announcing the end of development or that no further content is planned has been made. Given the short but real update history and the embedded weekly-refresh commitment, the game remains in active content development even though explicit news posts have gone quiet since April 10, 2026.
