Idle Heros launched on Steam on May 1, 2024, with development activity visible as far back as mid-2023 (indicating the game had a prior history on other platforms). The developer shipped several feature patches and balance updates in mid-to-late 2023, then delivered a notable major content update on November 9, 2024, which expanded the main storyline to a new "Hell" difficulty tier and rebalanced a number of heroes. That same update explicitly stated that "new challenges are coming soon." The game's store description also directly states: "new heroes will be added in the future." These are developer commitments to additional content that have not yet been delivered. However, the November 9, 2024 update is the last communication of any kind from the developer. As of October 1, 2026, there has been no further update, announcement, or patch in nearly 11 months. The promised "new challenges" have not arrived, and no explanation for the silence has been offered.
