Indies' Lies

Indies' Lies launched on January 15, 2023 and has since received a steady stream of post-launch content. The base game was updated with new features (custom difficulty system in May 2023, multiple character and card balance patches) and a free major content drop in February 2024 that added a new game mode, new skins, a new map, and a new boss to celebrate Lunar New Year. On August 29, 2024, the second and most recent paid DLC — "Desires Flowing" — shipped, introducing the Puppeteer class with three new characters, 100+ new cards, a new Follower mechanic, new enemies, and story content. Both DLCs listed on the store are now released, with no unreleased DLC entries remaining. The short store description mentions "New Puppeteer DLC just released!" — this refers to the Desires Flowing DLC that launched August 29, 2024, confirming that was the last major content addition to the base game. Crucially, the developer's focus has since shifted to a full sequel. In February 2024, the developer announced "Indies 2: Burning Kindling" (later renamed Indies' Lies 2: Fire Seed), and on November 12, 2025, that sequel launched as a separate product on Steam. The developer's post accompanying the sequel's launch reflects back on the original Indies' Lies as the foundation for what came after, with no mention of additional planned content for the original game. The last bug fix for Indies' Lies was posted on September 2, 2024, shortly after the Desires Flowing DLC launched. All released DLC has shipped, the developer's team has moved on to actively supporting a sequel, and there are no announcements of further content for the original game. The content for Indies' Lies appears complete as of the Desires Flowing DLC launch on August 29, 2024.
