Infinite Children

Infinite Children launched on May 6, 2019 as a free-to-play audiobook game with a unique community mechanic: every time any player earned a Steam achievement, the game would grow longer for everyone. The game went through a deliberate content arc — an initial "extension" phase from launch, followed by "The Regression" (July–October 2019), a period where achievements instead shortened the game. After The Regression concluded in October 2019, the original extension mechanic resumed. On May 18, 2020, the developer posted a conclusive update stating that the community had collectively earned 20,000 achievements, which fully extended the game into its "proper length and form." With that milestone reached, no further achievements are available to earn. The developer explicitly noted this is the end of the mechanic, and no new content or updates have been announced since. This post serves as the developer's clear statement that the game has reached its intended final state.
