Insomnis launched on January 7, 2022 as a complete first-person horror adventure game. Post-launch activity was minimal: a bug fix patch shipped on March 6, 2022, and a PS5 physical "Enhanced Edition" was announced on May 31, 2022 with improved technical features. On October 26, 2023, the developer released a soundtrack and an art book as optional DLC — both of which have since shipped. There are no unreleased DLC items listed on the store.
The most recent developer communication about Insomnis specifically was the DLC release in October 2023. The March 2025 news post was an announcement for an entirely new game (Dark Mass), which signals the studio has moved on to their next project rather than continuing to develop Insomnis content.
