Internet Cafe Simulator 2 launched on January 7, 2022. Shortly after launch, on January 9, 2022, the developer posted a clear statement about their content strategy: they would deliver large, free content updates rather than small patches or paid DLC, and explicitly stated "There will be no DLC." They followed through with two major free updates — The Hobo Update on February 25, 2022 and The Cabin Update on April 11, 2022 — as well as a feature patch and several bug fixes in the same window. After April 11, 2022, there are no further posts of any kind. That is the last recorded developer communication. The two major updates were delivered within roughly three months of launch, and no additional content, announcements, roadmaps, or developer posts have appeared since. The developer explicitly ruled out paid DLC and made no promises of ongoing content beyond what was already delivered. Given the complete absence of any communication since April 11, 2022, and the fact that the two promised large updates have both shipped, the game appears to have reached its completed state as of The Cabin Update.
