ISEKAI QUEST

ISEKAI QUEST launched on September 15, 2020 as a 3-match puzzle RPG. Both DLC items — an artbook/digital album bundle and the uncensored content patch — shipped at launch in September 2020. After release, Studio Ginkgo delivered a series of free content updates: a new H-scene rework and new character Betty in August 2021, another new character (Sister Cornelia) in May 2022, a new character and improved defeat system in March 2023, and a new Album gallery feature in April 2023. The studio's original plan called for 6 characters total, with any extras delivered as paid DLC. A developer post from August 9, 2021 revised this, committing to 2 additional free characters beyond that original roster. The March 2023 and April 2023 updates appear to represent the completion of that expanded commitment, with no further character additions or content announcements following the April 2023 Album update. The most recent developer communication was a security hotfix on October 3, 2025, which addressed a Unity engine vulnerability — a routine maintenance patch with no content implications. There have been no announcements of additional characters, story content, or new features since April 2023. The developer's stated content roadmap (2 extra free characters beyond the original 6) appears to have been fulfilled. Both DLC entries are released and no unreleased DLC is listed on the store. The game appears to have reached its completed state as of the April 2023 Album update.
