It Steals

It Steals launched on Steam on July 22, 2020, and the developer (Zeekerss) described it at launch as the conclusion of a project that had grown from a free experiment into a full game with five game modes. The launch post acknowledged the possibility of future game modes but framed the release as a genuine finish point. After launch, the developer shipped several feature patches through early 2021, then returned in May 2022 with a performance improvement update (version 12.4). That May 2022 post is the most significant communication: Zeekerss explicitly stated they had "thought just recently that I had moved on from this game for good and wouldn't be making any more patches," framing the performance patch as an unexpected return driven by skills learned from finishing another game (The Upturned). This language strongly signals that the developer considers the game's content development complete, with the 2022 patch being a one-off performance improvement rather than the start of renewed content work. There has been no developer communication about It Steals since May 14, 2022, no unreleased DLC on the store, and no announced future content. The game has no DLC listings at all. The developer has since moved on to other projects (The Upturned, and notably Lethal Company). The game launched as a finished, self-contained product and remains so.
