It Takes Two launched on March 26, 2021 as a complete, self-contained co-op narrative game. It has received no paid story DLC or major content expansions — the only DLC listed is the original soundtrack, released on November 18, 2025. Post-launch developer activity has been limited to platform improvements: a May 2024 patch added Steam Deck verification and removed the EA launcher requirement, and a December 2022 update added new voice-over languages. These are quality-of-life and accessibility updates, not new content. Hazelight Studios has since moved on to their next game, Split Fiction, which was revealed at The Game Awards in December 2024 and launched on March 6, 2025. A October 2024 post celebrating 20 million units sold of It Takes Two confirmed that EA Originals is partnering with Hazelight again — but on a new IP (Split Fiction), not additional It Takes Two content. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmap, and no developer statements suggesting further content for It Takes Two is planned. The game shipped as a complete story experience and that remains the case.
