Evaluation
Just Ride: Apparent Horizon launched out of Early Access on May 29, 2019, with the developer noting it as the culmination of nearly a year of EA testing. After launch, the game received a series of updates: a feature update adding new racing modes and an off-road track in November 2019, performance and gameplay upgrades through 2020, and a broader optimization pass in November 2021. The single released DLC — an audio track pack — shipped in December 2019.
The November 2021 update (NEWS-3) is the last meaningful patch on record and also serves as the last official developer communication about the Steam game itself. That post mentioned the studio was working on new games alongside ongoing maintenance. The two posts from 2023 (NEWS-1, NEWS-2) are promotional announcements for a separate mobile game ("代号:摩托" / "Just Ride" mobile), not updates to this Steam title.
Features teased in January 2021 — specifically "Riding Combat" and "Multiplayer Networking" — were announced as being in development but appear to have never shipped. These were first mentioned in a July 2020 post (NEWS-5) and repeated in January 2021 (NEWS-4), but no subsequent update confirmed their delivery, and no developer communication after November 2021 addresses them. Given the developer's pivot toward a mobile title and the complete silence on the Steam game since November 10, 2021, it is unlikely these features will arrive.
The developer's focus has clearly shifted to the mobile product, and there has been no indication of further content for this Steam release. The last confirmed update was November 10, 2021, and the game's content cadence has been flat since then — no major content shipped after the initial 1.0 launch, and developer communication about this title has stopped.
Evidence
Last developer update to the Steam game: an optimization patch. Developer mentioned they were also working on new games. No further updates to this title since this date.
Developer announced the full release of the game after nearly a year of Early Access, describing it as having completed all planned development content, while noting further polish updates would follow.

Just Ride is a road adventure game. You, retired ace driver Jason, are targeted by an underground organization and need to complete one dangerous mission after another to stay alive ...... But it's not all so frustrating, after all, the missions aren't always so decent, and neither are the people.
Wanna play Road Rush or Ace Combat, it all depends on your choice (and luck).
