Evaluation
KAMUI is a 2D shoot 'em up that released on Steam on December 11, 2014 as part of the ALLTYNEX Trilogy. It launched as a complete, self-contained game with 6 stages, a full difficulty system, and a simultaneous soundtrack DLC — all released on launch day. There has never been any post-launch content added to the game itself.
The original publisher, Nyu Media, announced its closure on June 15, 2022, but explicitly stated that all games would remain available for sale on Steam. Shortly after, on July 7, 2022, Henteko Doujin (the developer/new publisher) took over sales of the ALLTYNEX Trilogy and pushed a maintenance update adding Japanese language support, updated publisher branding, FLAC soundtrack files, and display fixes for Windows 10+. The game remains purchasable today under Henteko Doujin.
The two recent "major content" news posts (Revolgear Zero in February 2026 and Kamikaze Empire in June 2026) are announcements for entirely separate games published by Henteko Doujin — they have no bearing on KAMUI's content status.
KAMUI shipped as a finished arcade-style product with no announced post-launch content, no unreleased DLC, and no roadmap. It is a complete game that has been fully available since its December 11, 2014 launch date.
Evidence
The only DLC is an original soundtrack released on launch day. No unreleased DLC exists.
Nyu Media announced studio closure, but confirmed all games including KAMUI would remain for sale on Steam.

About this game
The mysterious object that had shimmered in the blue sky for countless generations and was worshiped by men as a god was in fact a massive man-made structure. And now, the silent vigil that was thought would last forever has come to an end.
Centuries have passed since the events of RefleX and mankind has once again attained civilization. Now, ancient technology born of a twisted mind sets in motion a chain of events designed to bring divine retribution down upon mankind. The key to bring forth the annihilation is KAMUI, a fighter craft based on ‘Xaffiquel Theory” brain fusion technology. This twin-tined instrument of mankind's destruction carries a terrible secret that ironically will prove to be mankind’s only hope for salvation.
