Katawa Shoujo

Katawa Shoujo is a completed visual novel originally released by Four Leaf Studios on January 4, 2012, which arrived on Steam on August 15, 2024. The game shipped as a fully finished product — it tells a self-contained story across five character routes with no post-launch content additions planned or announced. The Steam release prompted a flurry of early patch activity in August 2024 (save file fixes, fullscreen corrections, achievement fixes, Steam Deck verification), all of which were standard port-related maintenance rather than new content. On January 17, 2026, the developers shipped official support for seven fan-translated languages as part of a 14th anniversary celebration — a welcome quality-of-life improvement, but not new story content. The free original soundtrack was also made available on Steam on April 15, 2025. The only DLC listed is the original game soundtrack, which has been released. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced expansions, and no roadmap for future content. The developer's communications have been warm but celebratory in tone — commemorating the game's history rather than signaling development of new material. The game launched as a complete package in 2012 and remains so today.
