Kingdom of Atham: Crown of the Champions launched its 1.0 release on January 12, 2024, following an extended period in Early Access. During Early Access (roughly late 2022 through 2023), the developer shipped several major content updates at a fairly active cadence — including large updates in October 2022, November 2022, December 2022, and May 2023 — adding new zones, dungeons, creatures, crafting systems, mounts, and DLC cosmetic packs.
On June 10, 2023, the developer posted a note explaining that update frequency would slow down ahead of the full release, as most work was being funneled into the launch version rather than incremental Early Access patches. The January 12, 2024 launch (v1.0.1) was a substantial release featuring a full world rework, questing system, new bosses, new classes, and a wide range of content additions.
Following the 1.0 launch, the most recent developer communication is the v1.0.6 patch posted on June 29, 2024, which included minor fixes and balance tweaks. Notably, the developer acknowledged in that post that updates had been slow ("koa has not been forgotten"), suggesting the pace of development had decreased significantly. There have been no developer posts of any kind after June 29, 2024 — nearly a full year of silence as of today, June 23, 2026.
The pre-launch Major Content cadence (roughly every 1–2 months during Early Access) does not carry over to post-1.0, where only one minor patch followed the launch update. All four DLC items listed in the store are released, with the last one shipping in May 2023. No unreleased DLC is listed, no roadmap or future content has been announced, and no post-launch major content update has shipped beyond the 1.0 launch itself. The developer has not made any statement about future content plans after the 1.0 release, and the post-launch silence has now extended well beyond any reasonable update window. The game appears to have launched as a complete product and received only minor maintenance after that point.
