Evaluation
Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is a remastered compilation of two classic platformers — Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil — released on July 7, 2022 to celebrate the franchise's 25th anniversary. The game launched as a complete package, bundling both titles with upgraded graphics, adjustable difficulty, and a co-op mode. The only DLC listed is a Special Bundle that was also released on launch day, meaning no additional paid content was ever added after release. The store description notes that "bonus features may be released separately at a later date," but no such content was ever announced or delivered. Developer activity since launch has been minimal: one security patch was issued on December 22, 2025 to address a Unity engine vulnerability, which is standard maintenance rather than a sign of ongoing content development. There are no roadmaps, announced DLC, or developer statements indicating further content is planned. This is a completed, self-contained remaster.
