Evaluation

Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective launched on June 22, 2021 as a complete, self-contained puzzle adventure game adapted from the Pierre the Maze Detective children's book series. The developer described it at launch as a finished product featuring 10 levels, over 100 hidden objects, and over 500 interactions — all the content in the game was present on day one. Following launch, the developer issued a handful of bug fix patches in June and August 2021, and resolved a content packaging error in April 2022. These were all maintenance updates with no new gameplay content added. There have been no DLC listings, no announced expansions, no roadmaps, and no developer communications suggesting additional content is in the works. The most recent developer communication on Steam was the April 2022 bug fix post. Since then — over four years ago — there has been complete silence from the developer on any new content. The game has no post-launch content update pattern to speak of, and the store description makes no mention of planned additions. This game launched as a finished product and the developer has never indicated otherwise.
