Labyrinth of Touhou - Gensokyo and the Heaven-Piercing Tree is explicitly a bundled, enhanced re-release. The store description states that both the original "Labyrinth of Touhou 2" and its expansion "Plus Disk" have been combined into a single package, with redrawn character graphics and a full HD upgrade. This is the complete, definitive version of the game — it launched with all previously released content already included.
Post-launch developer activity consisted entirely of technical maintenance: crash fixes, UI improvements, control customization, Chinese translation updates, and the addition of English language support in October 2021. No new story content, characters, or gameplay expansions have been announced or released. The most recent developer communication was a minor patch on October 13, 2022, addressing a black screen issue and updating English text. There has been no developer communication since that date.
Given that this game launched as an all-in-one definitive package and has received only technical patches with no announcements of additional content, the game's content was complete at launch on August 23, 2021.
