Evaluation
Lakeview Valley launched on October 22, 2019 and received a period of active post-launch patching, including feature updates and bug fixes through April 11, 2020. In the first week after launch, the developer announced a planned "Upper League" update featuring new boss fights, tools, and NPC interaction features. However, the developer's attention shifted progressively toward Lakeview Cabin 2 — noted explicitly in the April 2020 patch post, where the developer admitted Lakeview Valley had "taken a step back" while they worked on Lakeview Cabin 2. No further updates to Lakeview Valley were posted after April 11, 2020. The originally announced "Upper League" update never shipped as a named release, and no developer communication since April 2020 references any future Lakeview Valley content. On October 19, 2023, the developer announced that Lakeview Cabin 2 had fully launched out of Early Access — a separate game in the same universe — with no mention of returning to Lakeview Valley. The last meaningful developer communication about Lakeview Valley itself dates to April 2020, and the originally promised Upper League content appears to have been quietly folded into the various patches released through that period or abandoned in favor of the new game. With no posts, no unreleased DLC, and no developer statements about future Lakeview Valley content since April 2020, the game's development appears to have concluded.
