Laughing to Die

Laughing to Die (喜丧) launched on April 10, 2024 as a complete narrative adventure game. The developer described it in the launch post as the "complete version" of a story they had been developing since a 2022 game jam. Following launch, the team released several patches addressing player feedback on puzzles, movement speed, and minor bugs — all quality-of-life and polish work rather than new content. The only DLC ever announced was a free art book (設定集), which the developer had promised as a thank-you to supporters shortly after launch. That art book was released on October 28, 2024, fulfilling the promise. The October 30, 2024 post celebrating 50,000 sales confirmed the art book was now available, with no mention of any further planned content, expansions, or updates. There has been no developer communication since October 30, 2024, and no unreleased DLC remains on the store. The game launched as a self-contained narrative experience, the sole promised post-launch deliverable (the art book) has shipped, and the developer has made no statements about future content. The game appears complete as of October 28, 2024.
