Evaluation

Learning Factory graduated from Early Access to its full 1.0 release on January 27, 2025, delivering the story finale, extended voiceover, and polished UI/UX. Shortly after launch, the developer shipped one more feature update on March 11, 2025 (v1.1) adding full controller support and German/Korean voiceovers — rounding out the post-launch polish. Since then, Luden.io's communications have shifted almost entirely to their next projects — SuperWEIRD (which entered open playtest on September 10, 2026) and Craftomation 101 (announced to leave Early Access on September 14, 2026). Learning Factory appears in these posts only in the context of sale discounts. The March 2026 developer update and the September 2026 Programming Fest announcement both reference the studio's ongoing work, but none of it pertains to new Learning Factory content. All three DLC items (Soundtrack, Art Pack, and Supporter Poster Pack) are released. No future content has been announced, no unreleased DLC exists on the store, and the developer has made no statements suggesting additional gameplay content is planned. The studio is active and healthy, so the silence around Learning Factory specifically reflects a finished product rather than any uncertainty about the studio's future.

About this game

Build a factory on Mars that serves the most demanding customers in the universe: cats. Learning Factory is a relaxing automation and management game where you turn raw materials into goods, deliver them to stores, and design a transport network that gets every kind of cat to the products it wants.

As the new chief engineer of an abandoned factory, you have a research mission: discover what makes cats happy. Restore the factory, develop the goods your customers want, and send them home with full paws.

Automate the whole journey

Connect production lines with conveyor belts, move supplies underground, and extend your network with air transport. Research new possibilities and improve your layout as your factory grows.

Route the customers, too

Your cats travel through the factory alongside its goods. Guide customers to the right stores, keep shelves supplied, and expand production to meet their growing demands. Produce and sell the goods they want, then use your progress to make the factory more efficient.

Build toward a bigger future for felinekind: rebuild the ancient Monument and establish Catopia.

Put your data to work

Experiment with real machine-learning models that analyze store sales data. Explore the in-game wiki and handpicked educational videos to learn more about the ideas behind your factory and its customers.

Grow at your own pace

There are no enemies to fight. In this fail-safe environment, you can keep trying, stay curious, and refine your production chains. Explore procedural worlds and discover new ways to make cats happy as you work toward Catopia.
