Lifeslide launched on Steam on August 6, 2021 and received a series of post-launch content updates throughout the rest of that year. The September 2021 update added player ghosts, new controller support, and quality-of-life features. The October 2021 update extended levels, added hidden skins, and introduced a dedicated speedrun mode. The December 2021 update extended another level, added 16 new appearances, and brought cross-platform leaderboards. These updates represent the game's active post-launch content phase. After December 2021, developer communication shifted away from content additions. A January 2023 update focused on Steam Deck verification, performance optimizations, and bug fixes — no new gameplay content was introduced. That January 2023 patch is the last update of any kind recorded for Lifeslide. By April 2024, Dreamteck publicly announced their next project, OVERRIDER, with a Kickstarter campaign and a playable demo — a clear sign the studio's focus has moved on. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future updates, and no roadmap suggesting further content for Lifeslide. The only DLC ever released was the soundtrack, which shipped in September 2021. The game's weekly challenges and leaderboards remain as ongoing features, but these are automated systems built into the game at launch rather than new developer-delivered content. There is no evidence that Dreamteck is actively developing anything further for Lifeslide. The game appears to have reached its final state with the January 2023 maintenance patch.

Music

Music is a big part of the Lifeslide experience. Along the way, an original score with electronic, rock and orchestral elements will keep you company. As you fly seamlessly between levels, the music will gradually transition to capture the vibe!

Competitive play

Each week a new challenge emerges, requiring players to fly fast and close to objects. How fast you can fly depends only on your skill. And for the speedrunners, Lifeslide offers a dedicated leaderboard with an accurate in-game timer!
