Evaluation

Lightmatter launched on January 15, 2020 as a complete first-person puzzle game. In the weeks following launch, Tunnel Vision Games shipped a feature update (version 1.09 on February 10, 2020) adding Danish voice-over, developer commentary, and new achievement art — rounding out the game's content. There have been no further major content updates since then, and no announcements of future DLC, expansions, or additional content. The most recent developer communication came on January 29, 2025, when the studio released a free "Lightmatter Anniversary" bundle of nine historical prototype builds to celebrate the game's fifth anniversary. This was a nostalgic retrospective release rather than new game content, and the post's tone reflects a team looking back on the game's journey — not forward to new additions. No future content was announced alongside or after it. There is no DLC listed, no season pass, no roadmap, and no developer statements indicating more content is planned. The game shipped as a self-contained experience and has remained that way. Someone waiting for all content can consider the game complete.
