Locked In Mind

Locked In Mind launched its full 1.0 release on December 20, 2024, rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 with a new level and major improvements to visuals, audio, and UI. Importantly, the launch post explicitly stated: "New levels are already in development." This is a clear developer commitment to post-launch content. However, as of October 1, 2026, there has been no developer communication of any kind since that December 20, 2024 launch post — a silence of over nine months. Looking at the game's history, the developer previously maintained a reasonably active posting pattern: major content in April 2023, an engine transition announcement in October 2023, a UE5 playtest in December 2023, a release trailer in November 2024, and the launch post in December 2024. That pattern suggests the developer was engaged and communicating at least every few months during active development phases. Nine-plus months of complete silence — with no patch notes, no development update, no tease of the promised new levels — is a significant departure from that pattern. The promised new levels have not appeared on the store as DLC listings, and no news post has provided any update on their status. The developer made a concrete promise at launch that content was coming, but has not followed through with any visible update or communication since. This raises genuine uncertainty about whether the planned content is still in active development.
