In the days immediately following launch, the developer shipped five rapid feature patches (February 23–28, 2025) adding decoration editing tools, a new background purchase system, UI updates, fish currency rebalancing, and bug fixes. A further bug fix went out on April 20, 2025, and the most recent known update was posted on July 1, 2025, adding a Goldfish Coin-to-Tomato conversion feature and white noise loop optimization. That July 1, 2025 post is the last known developer communication.

Lofi Aquarium is a tool game designed to enhance work focus. Each time you complete a Pomodoro timer, you earn a bunch of tomato rewards. You can raise fish while you work, and the tomato rewards you earn will boost the growth rate of your fish. The harder you work, the faster your fish will grow. You can also earn more decorations or deep-sea plants. Use the money earned from your fish to create your own unique aquarium.
You can freely combine lofi music with calming white noise, such as meditation, focused rain sounds, or film reel sounds, to help you get into an efficient working state.
