Look Outside launched on March 21, 2025 and has since received a steady stream of major content updates from developer Francis Coulombe. Four significant updates have shipped post-launch: version 1.5 on June 19, 2025 (adding new areas and crafting expansion), version 1.6 on August 27, 2025 (new music, gear, and interactions), the large 2.0 "Final Vision" update on October 28, 2025 (new endings, monsters, quests, bosses, and challenge mode), and most recently version 2.3 on April 15, 2026 (redesigned boss fights, new weapon moves, new dialogue, and visual improvements). Between major updates, the developer has also shipped multiple feature patches with balance changes, new characters, and quality-of-life improvements. This history shows a consistent and active development cadence across more than a year since launch, with the most recent major update arriving just two months before today's date. No specific future content has been announced, but the developer has not indicated that development is winding down either.
