Evaluation
Lords of the Lockerroom launched on May 17, 2019 and received a steady stream of updates throughout the rest of that year, progressing through versions 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 4.5, and culminating in an announcement on December 1, 2019 that Release 5.0 was on its way. That December 2019 post described 5.0 as a major update with new features, optimizations, and content additions, to be rolled out in parts. However, there has been no developer communication of any kind since that announcement — no patch notes, no follow-up posts, no acknowledgment of whether 5.0 ever shipped. This silence has continued through to today, June 26, 2026, representing over six years without a word from the developer.
The store description still carries a promise that "the game will be continuously updated based on player feedback," but no actual updates have followed the December 2019 announcement. The developer's earlier cadence of regular monthly posts has completely ceased without explanation. While it's possible the 5.0 update was quietly released without a news post, it was publicly announced as forthcoming and never confirmed as delivered. There is no information available to determine whether development has quietly continued, been abandoned, or concluded.
Evidence
Developer announced Release 5.0 is coming, describing it as a major update with new features, optimizations, and content additions to be rolled out in parts. This is the last official communication from the developer.
Release 4.5 shipped with camera transparency improvements and code optimizations; developer expresses excitement about the game's future.
