Evaluation

Lost in Anomaly is an Early Access game developed solo by Axakal Interactive (formerly Aximus Games), released on December 13, 2024. The developer is actively and transparently working toward a 1.0 full release. On February 17, 2026, the developer posted a detailed roadmap for reaching 1.0, explaining a period of skill-building after launch and announcing a return to active development. The roadmap outlined plans for two new gameplay modes — a monster-free "Pure Anomaly Mode" focused on observation, and a "Classic Horror Mode" with the original horror elements — along with bug fixes and technical improvements. On May 27, 2026, the developer published Devlog #1 showcasing significant visual overhaul work in progress, including volumetric fog, floor reflections, and a redesigned dark atmosphere, all targeted at the 1.0 release. Most recently, on July 26, 2026, the developer shipped a quality-of-life patch addressing several reported bugs and adding full gamepad support, while explicitly confirming that the major visual upgrade — a transition to Unity 6 and the High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP) — is still being built and is reserved for the 1.0 launch. The developer also rebranded the studio name to Axakal Interactive with this update. The developer has been consistent and communicative, with posts in February, May, and July 2026. The 1.0 release remains in active development with clearly described upcoming content.
