Evaluation

Lost in Vivo launched on November 5, 2018 as a complete horror experience. After release, the developer shipped a series of updates: a major engine overhaul in early 2019 (version 2.0), new features and secrets in April 2019, and a free content expansion called The Mersus Tapes in October 2019, which added five bonus story episodes accessible from the main menu. The developer had announced the Mersus Tapes as DLC but chose to release them as a free update instead. The most recent developer communication is a March 16, 2023 patch post (version 3.03) fixing a long-standing audio bug. Notably, the developer used that post to directly thank the community, writing "from the bottom of my heart, thank you everyone! I never thought this game would be as popular as it is and for so long! Thanks for all your support over the years!" — language that reads as a heartfelt retrospective rather than a promise of things to come. The only DLC listed is the original soundtrack, which released on November 14, 2018 and is already available. No unreleased DLC exists on the store. The two major content milestones — the engine/feature overhaul and The Mersus Tapes — both shipped years ago, and there has been no announcement of additional content since. The March 2023 patch appears to be final maintenance, and the tone of that post strongly suggests the developer considers the game's content journey complete. The last developer communication was on March 16, 2023.
Evidence
Developer released a small maintenance patch (3.03) and posted a heartfelt thank-you to the community, reflecting on the game's years of support — language consistent with closing out a project rather than announcing future plans.

About this game

A horror game about claustrophobia.

During a storm your service dog is forced down a broken sewer drain. You find the nearest sewer entrance and run in after it.

Along the way you will meet others that are also stricken by abnormal or psychological fear. You may be able to help them, just as you may be able to free yourself, but just as likely, they and you may be beyond help.

This game has controller support but you must first click past the graphic options. Do not rebind any of the keys if you plan on using the controller. The menus are hard programmed to the controller input's not the button labels, and currently there is no support to open the steam overlay with a controller.
