Love Tavern officially launched on December 19, 2023, after a period of Early Access development. Since launch, Secret Labo has delivered a steady stream of content updates. A major feature patch in June 2024 introduced a new limited-time event ("Veil of Mercy: Sister's Salvation") with a new character, new items, and a new gameplay mechanic (Star Up system). A follow-up patch in August 2024 added another cross-promotion character (Vivian) and audio and visual improvements. Bug fix patches continued through May 2025, with the most recent developer communication on May 1, 2025. The developer's news posts also prominently promote a sequel — Love Tavern 2: Beastmen Kingdoms — suggesting active franchise development. While no specific future content has been announced for Love Tavern itself, the pattern of post-launch updates across feature events, new characters, and bug fixes indicates the game is still being supported. The most recent two major content news posts (June 2026 and April 2026) are cross-promotions for a partner studio and the developer's own new game (Yokai Art 2), not Love Tavern-specific updates, which means Love Tavern's last direct content update was in August 2024, with maintenance continuing through May 2025.
